I have been following this link for instructions on how to do this with AVI files

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/..._virtualdub.cfm

but is there a program and/or instructions to do it with a mpeg (movie file)??

(at least that is what it says it is called under properties)
(Sorry I did not know where to put this thread..feel free to move it)

Thanks very much

its a 60 day free version, it'll do!

http://www.boilsoft.com/videosplitter/

here is the guide
http://www.boilsoft.com/videosplitter/mp4-splitter.html
it says mp4, but it also does mpeg1 (if that what you want)

you can also use the popular sony vegas
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/vegasfamily.asp

questions, issues?

If they are mpeg files, try Video ReDo. Not free, but they used to have a 30 trial period.
