Hi there i have a nice collection on MKV files and i after a dvd player that will play MKV files can any 1 help me i have been looking everywhere with no look

I really don't think they exist! If they did I would definitely buy one. The Matroska container is so diverse that I think it would be quite hard to develop a stand alone player for it. You would need an array of codecs on board to play all the different compatible streams.

Although, it is quite easy to transfer the streams from the mkv container into different container formats for various stand alone platforms. :-D

can't remember how i stumbled upon this thread but there are players that will play .mkv but only through streaming
