eurovox max v

hi, i own eurovox max v which i am very happy with, the problem i am having is, i noticed some channels missing a couple of movies and a couple sport so i performed an auto update using the red button which worked, all channels back on,and it kept my channels in the order i put them in,however i am having to do this update every other day because the same channels go off i was told this box should update automatically its really anoying to update every other day just to get these few channels is this normal or is cable company getting clever.thanks

 

Have you checked your cabling and are you plugged directly into the incoming feed without any splitters?

 

yes all cables are good no splitters , the channels that go off it says (service unknown)and when i check signal strengh its all good even channel description comes on but no picture and sound , they come back on after i perform an auto update baffling me to the max

 

Where are you based, who is your provider and what channels are affected?

 

i live in wolverhampton west midlands and my service provider is virgin it used to be telewest before it changed over, the channels effected are usually sky movies modern ,sky premiere, sport mutv,but the only one to go off today is sky modern when i foned a guy off ebay who is a seller he said cable are moving things around alot in my area what ever that ment?

 

Yes there are some software upgrades going on in most Telepest areas at the moment. Give it time to settle and then update your channels again.
