    Hello All,

Ive got a lengthy jackonary so get urself a brew and take a phew.

I have Windows XP on a ACER 1300 laptop purchased from Currys a couple of years ago, usual mishaps, spilt brews and the odd cig ash which resulted in the keyboard malfunctioning. However, not a problem, slapped in another via the USB.

Recently, the Windows was unable to fireup as an DLL was missing/corrupt, again issue was resolved with a replacement of the defective file, via DOS and Windows startup disc. (simple copy and paste).

All appeared to be fine until i started browsing the net, i can type in the address field yet i am unable to type into the search/detail fields off all websites e.g. google, msn search.
I have trawled thru the internet settings and the control panel settings for the keyboard all attempts to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful.

Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction as what i should do next.
    Many thanks in adavnce
