I recently purchased an hdmi to dvi cable for my computer. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card with an hdmi output and my monitor has a DVI output. What do I need to get my monitor to display hd quality? I have a tv tuner and I watch many movies on my computer so improving the quality is a must.
Basically just pump up the resolution as high as you can. I think thats all you do. As for DVD movies, I don't think theres much you can do unless you have an HD DVD drive. If you want to get those, nows the time with with the Xbox 360 HD DVD drive at $50. HD DVDs are discontinued though but the drive is still great. It comes with King Kong HD DVD free.
