After over a month of trying and 6 technisions, I FINALY got outlook to function. What I would like to know is, when I wish to SEND an email do I need to add that person/email to the CONTACTS list first? I tried to send one to a friend but the messege did not go until I put him in the list, at this point a list of one. I would like to be able to send emails WITHOUT useing a list, as I can do with YAHOO and G MAIL. Is there a setting that will allow this? What is the difference between HTML and PLAIN TEXT messeges? Does it matter which box I select? I am new at OUTLOOK and do not want to mess it up.

Thank you for the info. Yesterday my OS shut down in the middle of a download. What a mess that was! And at the same time I lost my internet connection for hours! When it came back I had to reregister with my provider, change home pages ect. Computers are a drag when they don*t work!
