I have now built over a dozen machines with AMD processor in a MSI K9VGM-V barebones box. All the machines have worked flawlessly. Many people have commented on the weak power supply but I am running 4 ide drives and two Sata drives without a problem. For more info see:

That's nice but most people don't want a datafarm and want to get better CPUs.

Let's be honest here, AMD cpus aren't exactly all that anymore.
