Thats your problem version 3 causes this follow this guide below and upgrade to version 4 or lower versions if you want to get rid of the Sly Sports 1 problem but lets see how you get on with version 4 first and then tackle that.

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    Null modem info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...uName=USB to Serial 9-Pin Male Adaptor class=

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library.

You will need the GTromloader Version 4, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starvi*w software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder.

    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT
that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starvi*w will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in

Gtromloader looks at comm port 1 to 4 make sure you are set to one of those and make sure it is unused.

To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions:

    1. Go to the Start Menu
    2. Right click on "My Computer"
    3. Select "Properties"
    4. Click on the "Hardware" tab
    5. Click on "Device Manager"
    6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)"
    7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.)
    8. Go back to gtromloader and make sure it is looking at the correct port.
    9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected

If you need drivers go here

    1.
    Open Device Manager.

    2.
    Double-click Ports (COM & LPT).

    3.
Right-click the port for which you want to change settings, and then click Properties.

    4.
On the Port Settings tab, make the appropriate changes and change to same comm port as Gtromloader.

No problem but it wont solve the problem with Sly Sports 1, there is another fix for that but think we will leave it at that for the day :)

Is it just this channel or more? To fix this note the frequency the channel is on then delete it and do a manual scan on the noted frequency. It will appear at the end of your channel list fixed.

If there are a few channels missing, do a factory reset and autoscan again.
