I installed ubuntu from my Windows XP.. and ran into nothing but trouble sound/mic didn't work, wine didn't install, and more. But anyways I got a CD for Windows Vista and tried to boot it up from restart, but it would just load ubuntu and I have the CD as 1st start up under BIOS.

Did you press any key to Boot from CD? M$ doesn't boot automatically from CD like *nix does.
