I'm told that when an internet site is visited and link opened, a raw image file "rawxxxx.jpg, or rawxxxx.gif, is stored on the hard drive. Search doesn't locate any, but again, I'm told there is software to remove these files, freeing up drive space. Does anyone know how to locate these files and remove them? Thanks in advance.
type %temp% in "Run" Command, that's where the temp files are stored then do a search for the files you want to delete
According to a friend, the files are deleted, but remain on the HD. They are just removed from the file allocation table. They do not show up with normal search functions, but need some type of other software to show them. Not being a computer wiz, I'm lost, but would like to get rid of these to increase HD space.
