DVD player software

im trying to play a dvd in my dvd player and i cant for some reason. i cant even play the movies that i have ripped onto my computer. i used to be able before but my computer had a virus and i had to get it fixed. im thinking that the dvd software wasnt installed back onto my computer. does anyone know of a good software to use? im using windows 2000 and its in DRIVE E:

i click download but the link isnt active. it says page connot be found. do you know of anything else i can try

 

You could also try one of these: MPC, VLC or GOM player.

 

The VLC is a good one, I have not used the others.

i downloaded the VLC player but it didnt work out because when i insert a dvd into my dvdplayer, the movie doesnt show up. is there something im supposed to change?
