I cant seem to find anyone who has had this same problem and theirfore I have found no solution to it yet, but here is the problem:

I have had my xbox since it first came out in england and nothing has ever been wrong with it. I got a friend of a friend to mod it, for which seems to be an xecuter2 mod. Well recently out of the blue it just decided to stop registering the controllers. I have 3 controllers and none of them do anything when plugged into the console, apart from the 3rd party one which has a light that comes on when its plugged on, so at least I know that there is power going to them.

The games load up ok and the xbox goes to the evolution x dashboard when there isnt a game in, but the controllers work on neither of them.

Is there someway I can do a reset on the xbox or another way to fix it without the use of a controller? It seems like a difficult thing to fix, but perhaps there is a way.

thanks for the quick advice, if i can find a UK dealer then ill have to try and replace it, but it will probably be better to buy a new system maybe.

well after taking it apart for the third time I finally fixed it thanks to varnell. it seems that the connecters in the daughterboard had come loose rather than broken and now the controllers work. God know how long I would have been slicing and dicing the machine if you hadnt gave me that bit of info. Thanks again :)
