    i mean to take the processor from the motherboard and put it on another ??????

    as long as the other board & bios is compatible then yes.

    ddp do you mean like if there both intel boards or does it have more depth than that...so how would i find a thing like that out???

    as long as both boards use the same socket & that the bios of the other board that is receiving the cpu recognizes that cpu properly. ran into that problem with mine 2 years ago when trying to install a celeron 2.53ghz prescott cpu on my board. the board wouldn't post as bios was not programmed for prescott but would for northwood dyes cpu's that preceeded the prescotts.
