DVD +R , DVD - R

    what is the difference between DVD+R, and DVD-R, can someone tell me the pros and cons for both and what the difference is? thanks :)

    Hi again Nihilo, I might not be exact on this, but the technical difference I think is how the laser writes to the media. Its more involved than that but its not too important. The main difference is compatability with players. Most older models (2-3 years back) only play -R format. I think it was the 1st type out. The +R can be read by newer players but most of the new players will actually play both formats. No difference in quality. You just have to make sure what type media the player will play that you are using it in. I started out burning +R, but as soon as I use up my last 5 blanks, I will only buy -R from then on.
