I have recently installed XenoGC chip using wires, but the chip isn't working properly. When I turn on console, the LED turns red and after a while green, so it looks as if it was connected correctly, but few minutes later, the green LED becomes weaker and weaker. I can't also use xenos options: Disable audiofix, disable DREfix, Version display etc. GC works as if it wasn't modded. Does it happen, because the chip is damaged? or maybe it is just not installed correctly?

First thing I would do is check my wire install. Use a multimeter to make sure there are no shorts.
Then if it still doesn't work I would do the non-wired install.

I have a problem where it turns red then orange. Have installed with wire and without. The console works as if it is not modded. Any ideas?
How do I rip games on a bid (4.5gb) dvd?

Hmmm, the light should turn from red to green. Maybe a POT adjustment to the laser?
If you go with normal sized DVD's be aware that you will only be able to use the first 1.4 gigs on the disc. As this is the farthest the laser will read to.
