I assume you have a bittorrent client and you want it to be the default program for .torrent files instead of Ares.

Ares probably has set itself as the default program for .torrent files.

Your bittorrent program probably has an option to re-set it as the default program for .torrent files which you could use.

You could also, if you are using Windows, right-click a .torrent file and select Properties which will bring up a screen showing the default program for opening them as well as a Change button.
Click on the Change button and browse to your BT client to select it as the default program for opening.torrent files.
Press OK to save this association.

go to the control panel of ares and there is a section that asks if you wish ares to be your bitorrent client? uncheck the box and problem solved...
