Can you go on without the internet? How do you feel about our shameful reliance on electronic communications?

At home, i'd catch up on a helluva lot of movie watching or weather permitting (pah!, i'm in the non-sunny UK) enjoy the great outdoors. At work, it'd be a nightmare as my job depends on knowledge, and the poor old pea brain isn't always sharp so access to the internets is a must

I have no idea... When comcast goes down I find my self in a world of hurt... Gee now that I think about it comcast goes down allot! I find myself cleaning and organizing files on my computer while I am waiting for it to come back online.

Today I have received the news I've been waiting for...one of our service providers have just upgraded their lines and Joy o Joy we are able to get high speed broadband...20mbps...bring it on!!!
The old service was 512kbs.
And in relation to the thread title...answer

LOL @ housework.. My computer keeps me nicely away from the kitchen/iron/hoover for which I am eternally grateful..
I almost want my internet to go down for a day or so to allow me to do the yearly purge of the garden.

i don't know what anyone of us would do...
personally, i'm taking up guitar to try get myself away from here all the time... of course that involves me going online to find tabs for songs... so its not working to well...

Well my last post tempted fate...
Guess what.. 19 hours with no internet and what did I do? Hacked the crap outta the neighbours wifi and used it to download heaps and heaps of smut.
The garden now hasn't seen me since 11/06.. I'm hoping it will grow me a tractor or two.

How else are we supposed to figure out why the internet isn't working without the internet? Where did we get all of our news before then?
