I have a question that I believe is related to video codec's.
I have some short Quick Time files that wont play correctly anymore, but used to.
I get the audio but the video is snow.
I have over time installed several different programs, Nero, Super, Ulead DVD maker, WMR, Windows Media Payer 11, to name a few. Do these programs SHARE the codecs? This might explain how they may have been corrupted. If so how do I get them back?
I found XPCodepack on this website and I'm thinking it might help. But before loading another program, I thought I would ask some experts. I may be way off base here.
I am running WINXP SP2 on an HP laptop with a Pentium 3.
    Thanks!

Some of the programs share the codecs, since they use the diectshow
mechanism. What player do you use to play back Quicktime?

Do you have Quicktime or Quicktime alternative installed?
