hi i have a Vista home premium laptop and i record shows using windows media center and all that and i was wondering if there was any way that i could have my laptop set up so that i can turn it off at night and have it boot itself up in the morning so it can record shows. i dont want to leave it on because it gets really hot and the fan keeps me awake at night so i was wondering if there is any software or anything in windows that is able to do this. thanks for your help

I dont think i ever seen a program that will turn on your computer automatically. I also dont think its too possible unless its built into windows. I seen programs that will turn off your PC at a specific time though. AutoShutdown Pro was one i used while i used xp. I also seen programs that makes it start back up through standby, but i dont remember the name of the prog.
