Hi, I just got a new AC adapter for my Dell Inspiron 1501, it charges and all, but it screws up the track pad when it's plugged in. It works for a few seconds, then I have to push hard on the track pad to get a response, and the cursor is going all over the place. My old charger that broke had only 2 prongs and this new one has 3, maybe it's something to do with the static or something that is now being grounded, idk. Is there any way I can fix this problem without having to get another new adapter? I bought it on ebay and it was specified compatible on my laptop and everything works besides the track pad.

Call Dell and ask them about it. It could just be a screwed up AC Adapter.
