Hello haven't been here for ages but very helpful when i was last here. I have an avi file with a sub file + idx file both these files are in the name of the avi. I would just like to know what way i can go about putting these files onto a dvd so i can watch the film with the english subs. I would be very grateful for any help thank You.

Does you DVD player play the avi files as-is (some do) or
are you talking about converting the avi to DVD video + subs?

I tried using convertxtodvd 3 and after 2 percent the process failed even though some have said it supports srt and idx/sub files.I want to convert the sub and idx to srt as i have read many times that you have to do this but have had no luck with finding a program that will do this.

The easiest way would be to look for and download a proper .srt file for your avi. Much easier than converting the sub/idx.
