I recently had to replace my HD on my computer and I have Vista. I have had Vista on my old HD also. My problem is since I have replaced the HD and reinstalled a bunch of my programs like to new office package with Outlook Mail in it whenever I go to open a link to send someone a message it automatically opens up my Outlook Mail and not my Yahoo Mail. I prefer my Yahoo mail. I never use Outlook. One my old HD I had it working so when I opened up a email link like a support link from some company it would automatically take me to my yahoo mail. I can't remember what I did to get it to work the way I had it prior to my HD crash. Could any of you please help me out with this.
    Thank you

To add Web Mail to your default programs list so you can select it as your
default mail rather than POP3 type:
    1. Install Yahoo Messenger 8.1,
    2. Go to IE Tools/Options/Programs,
    3. Yahoo Mail (web-mail) will now be a choice which you can set for your mail,
    4. You can then, if you wish, uninstall Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Toolbar,
    5. Web Mail is now your default mail rather than POP3 type mail.
