I just downloaded ImgBurn from here after reading multiple reviews saying that it was better than anything on the market.

Well, I have an avi file I want to burn DL to be viewed on a conventional DVD player, and I don't see how do to that with ImgBurn.

Does it encode AVI files or do I need to use another program to do so and then use ImgBurn to make the disc?

Right now I'm using Nero Vision to burn video files and I'm getting skipping (although the disc and player are completely clean) occasionally or sometimes audio sync problems.
