HI,
I have just received my first cable receiver today, a eurovox v max, it seems to be working fine, except for the fact that I do not seem to have all the movie channels.
The one's I can get are Screen 1, Premier, Premier +1, Modern Greats, Movies 24. Surley there should be more.
After the initial scan there were 148 TV channels, then did an auto scan and it rose to 155, a lot of channels are named TvCh6 or similar, but these do not seem to be movie channels.
Also I am not geting Virgin or Virgin +1?
I live i Bradford, ex Telewest.
Should I just keep auto scanning until I find the rest? eg Screen 2, Action, Sci-Fi.
Exactly how many channels/movie channels should I have.
Your assistance is most apreciated.
Thank You!
Thanks for all the advice I was inundated with guys, this site really is invaluable (sic)
I've sorted it anyway.
For some reason the literature that came with the box told me to scan from 250 - 870??
Checked my friends starview and all my missing channels were below 250!
So started again from 100 - 870 and now have all channels!
Read what first??
I didn't have a clue why the channels were not there, according to the leaflet I should have had them.
It was only after I didn't get any joy on here I decided to travel 20miles to my friends and check his starview box.
That's when I discovered all my missing channels were under 250Mhz!
And so posted again advising I had sorted it!
A bit sarcastically I admit, sorry about that!
But I didn't have owt to read that would have sorted it??
Problem now solved anyway.
Blog closed!
Ta!
