I have Singstar Bollywood that my Dad got when he was in India. Since my PS2 is NTSC and the game is PAL, I converted the game to NTSC and loaded it onto my PS2 hard drive. The game works fine except the audio and words at the bottom of the screen is completly off. I can post a video if needed. Anybody know how to fix this or if it's a known issue?
hey core2kid, did you ever get this problem resolved? I myself live in America and would like to get Singstar Bollywood also. I do have a NTSCPS2 and a NTSC PS3, and even have a PAL TV (a 29" Sony Wega we got from Saudi Arabia when my family was living there in 1998). However, I would prefer to play this game on my regular, American TVs. Any suggestions?
I did figure out what it was actually. It is a problem with the PAL/NTSC refresh rate that the TV has. It won't work if patched to NTSC but it should work fine if you run it on the HD unpatched on your PAL TV.
Hmm.. I don't have a hard drive though. My PS2 is unmodded with no external accessories.
I do have my multisystem TV thuogh. I saw over on another thread that it said that if you have a multi-system TV, then that's all you need to play PAL games off of your NTSCPS2. I have a NTSCPS3 but I'm not sure that means anything in the problem I have at hand.
You can't just pop in a PAL game into an NTSCPS2 and expect it to work. It won't. Your PS2 needs to be modded to get it to work. It will work with the hard drive since you have a multisystem TV.
yea um i downloaded the game via torrent on pirate bay.
its 5.86 gb so need dual layer dvd or is it possible to shrink
my ps2 dont support the dual layer dvd so im in a sticky situation and i waited days for this to download
please help me
im in nz so pal is supported and this was
released in uk and india. uk is pal so yep
its an iso if you can download it and figure something out then you are awsome

Thanks core2kid. So I need a modded PS2 if my PS2 is a NTSC PS2 and I want to play a PAL Game. I would also need a TV capable of playing PAL (which I luckily have).
The one thing I'm not sure of is when you say "it will work with the hard drive since you have a multisystem TV". What do you mean by that? because I do not have a hard drive and was not planning on getting one.
My PS2 is pretty crappy (sometimes it needs to be resetting af ew times before it reads a disc). Perhaps since I have to replace it anyways, are there any PS2's out there that play both NTSC and PAL without modding? I'm really not familiar with the modding process.
No, there are no PS2s without modding that play PAL and NTSC games. With the hard drive though, you can just load games on the HD and play them there without having to use the CD Drive.
