Hi, i have a ps3 with linux installed (ubuntu) however i am willing to install any os which would allow me to do what i require.

    What i want to do:

Rip Blue Ray to MKV or some other format which will fit onto a standard dvd using my ps3, as i dont have a blu-ray player in my pc i can leave my ps3 running overnight converting the movie then copy it from my ps3 hdd to a 8gb memory stick and burn it to dvd on my pc.

If it is possible, does anyone have links to the programs i will need for linux?

    Many Thanks in Advance

    Steve
