can not connect to the internet with vista

    for some reason i can not connect to the internet with my pc that runs vista sp1 even before the update i could not connect i can not even connect to msn i get the following error (error code:80072ee7) and when i test the connection it has one of these ! in a yellow trangle with the words default gateway any1 have any ideas what is causeing this any help would be greatful also have norton on there aswell.

    lets start of slow if your using msn you want to connect using DIAL UP right?
    you need a phone jack connected to your computer to start of with:D
    Error Code : 80072ee7 and 80048848

    they are usually due to a third part firewall enabled (your norton) being turned on and blocking msn from completing the initial setup, or your connection (phone jack) isn't enabled.....there are some exceptions though.....like

    yeh thanks dude i have sorted it now it was down to virgin media the 1st time i called them they said the connection was fine and that it was the pc but after wiping vista off and replacing with xp and it still never worked and phoned virgin back up it turns out it was the modem and they are sending me a new one thank for ur time dude
