Hello, friend has one of those mp3 players that plays amv video format. A cd came with it with a couple of tools on it, one of them seems to just resize avi videos to a smaller size (a particlar size) so they can then be converted with another program to amv format, they then play on the player. We have done this a few times today with the software that came with it and it does seem to work but we've had problems, the videos seem to be messing up after a short while into them, this is in the actual amv file created as they are messed up when played back on the pc too, nothing to do with the player. Does anyone know of one program that will do both the resizing of the avi file and the converting to amv format ready for playing? Also, are there any programs that anyone can suggest which are particularly good with amv files so as to avoid the video messing up as it is currently? A big bonus would be something that can handle a multitude of file formats in and convert them to amv's of the correct size. Thanks! PS: Is this even the right forum for this?
There are some sharware (pay for the software) programs that can do it and make your tasks a little easier. Xilisoft has a program that can do it as well as DVDFab Platium. Have you searched the forums for similar problems? I ask because people will run into some similar problems and the answers are posted and you can go from there But if you want a new program to do it check out Xilisoft and DVDFab Platium. You can enter in the names at the top of the page in the search engine and it will direct you to the software, get reviews and guides. Best of luck to you
