im living in northern california right now. i have a cell phone already(metropcs), but im moving soon. im moving to vancouver washington which is right across the river from portland but metro doesnt have coverage up there. i dont know much about skype, my friend just told me about it and said he only pays 3 dollars a month for unlimited calling. then he told me that theyre about to make it possible to use a psp as a skype phone. i googled a few things and found out what model psp i need and the firmware, and the mic i need and what not. but i still have some questions. it says it works off a wifi network, but im not sure how good the wifi coverage is in the portland oregon metro area.. whats the catch? 3 dollars a month for unlimited calling.. i dont get it. will it work like a normal phone besides the connection method and talk requirements? will i be able to text and store contacts and stuff like that? help would be MUCH appreciated.
