I've burned a few Memorex DVD+R DL with not that many problems, but im a bit concerned with the quality, for the picture seems a bit fuzzy.
Now I know that the majority of people like Verbatim, so before I re-burn all my dvd's and buy Verbatim, I would like to know what you guys think are the BEST DVD+R DL's that provide the best picture/quality, that are out in the market today.
PS. I know its a lame question, especially with all the thread's made, but I want to know more, before I invest more of my money, which I think I already wasted on Memorex.
Any input will be great, especially reviews or statistics to lean me more to a certain product. Thanks.

yeah Taiyo Yuden don't make DL media unfortunately
Verbatim is the best (uses the best dye) the memorex will code out as Ritek which is ok media
what I've switched to as of late instead of paying top dollar(1.70 each plus) for blank DL media is use DVD Rebuilder to encode the movie (doing the movie only) and put it on a DVD-5 SL blank which cost about 21 to 25 cents each compared the the DVD-9 DL which is about 1.70 each you do the math!

Ritek and Ricoh are making improvements with their DL media, but still can't compare to the MIS verbatim.

Couldn't agree more. I have never had any playback issues with Verb DLs.
Video games are no longer for children

Thanks for all your help. I went out and bought a 20-pack of Verbatim (MIS), and there is actually an increase in picture quality as compared to the Memorex. Too bad they cost $55, but I guess its worth it.

you could always use DVD Rebuilder to encode to a DVD-5 and save yourself about 1.50 per blank disc, something to thing about

lol don't pay $55 for 20 Verb DLs, never. Wait untill either Newegg, meritline, or Bestbuy for $30 sale. That's about the market price now.

Agree. I typically don't burn DL simply due to the cost factor. It is possible to achieve near the same quality utilizing DVD Rebuilder and a little bit of time.
If you must burn DL, stick with Verbatim's as suggested.

Does DVD Rebuilder work on TV Series DVD's, I thought when I looked into Rebuilder a few years back, it didn't work on them.

Yes really! What does the title say? "Best DVD+R DL" so of course I'm talking dual layer.
Not sure why you keep bring up SL in a DL thread? Just so you know, MCC is uniquely SL DVDs by the way.
Anyway, back to the facts, I could have been more specific in my earlier thread, but the OP never specified a speed so here goes, MIS Sony DVD+R DL 2.4x code out as MKM-001 just as MIS Verb DVD+R DL 2.4x do. Not really top secret.
