How To Set-Up Your Own Internet Radio Station !

Hey , Hitmanfoo is going to teach you how to make your own internet radio station
so first download the following
winamp-Download
shoutcast -Download
shoutcast -dsp-Download
Once Those Have Downloaded , Install All Three.
Once Installed. make sure that ports 8000 and 8001 are availble , if on a router. there are some usefull guides at
portforward.com
If They Are Availble then goto :
start >
all programs >
SHOUTcast DNAS >
SHOUTcast DNAS (Gui)
Then goto :
start >
winamp>
Then On Winamp Hold ctrl + p
Then a screen will pop up - click DSP/Effect And Then Open The Link.
Then Another Screen Will Pop Up , Goto The Output Tab And CLick Conection.
put this stuff in
address
localhost
password
changeme
port
8000
Then Click Yellow Pages And put this in
description
Your Radio
url
www.Website.com
Genre
e.g Rock, Pop . ect
AIM = Blank
ICQ = Blank
IRC = Blank
Click Conect And Way-Hay. Youve Got A Radio . Now To Listen
Goto http://www.whatsmyip.org
Coppy Your Ip e.g.
79.80.xxx.xx
then. paste this into your internet browser
http://Your IP HERE:8000/
Give That To Your Friends. And Have A Nice Radio

Remember you don't need a domain while you are testing. You can give your IP to a few trusted people for comments.. I ran my website on my home cable for 3 months from my IP (and a free domain after a short while).
Remember that internet radio can be classed as broadcasting and the authorities will be on you for royalties for music.. seen in the demise of lots of great internet radio stations in the last few years. I think the best way to avoid them is to get a domain that "sounds" like a college or university web radio station :lol:

I'm updating my PC soon and reformatting so i will probably wait till thats done then try it out. I can transfer everything from my 30 gig I-pod to my system and use that
