starview clone wont accept new software

hi i have a starview view box and sadly its a clone the problam i have is that the box wont accept the new fixed auto roll software . Every time i try it it keeps failing . I have updated serverl boxes before and do have the correct cable . i have tryed older software aswell but still no luck . I do have a jtag do you know if it is possible to jtag the auto roll software into it and if so how do i go about it thanks

It is possible you have the 2.57_FIXED firmware installed , to test it , go into Nagravision and change some of the codes e.g. 12 34 56 78 90 and press save , then go and press "Set Default Key" and see if it updates for you

I had one like this recently, couldnt get the firmware to flash at all, regardless what I done, bad flash etc etc

hi i have tried changeing the codes and it just keeps updating so i have changed them back. i do have a jtag and have erased the memory and put the os back in . Is it possible to install the fixed software this way and if so what software am i looking for thanks

Yon need to install the firmware with GT ROM loader , delete GT ROM and the 2.57_FIXED firmware from your PC and download them again , they might be corrupt and try it again
