    Biggest Question of My Post:
My 32" 720p LCD has a "bright" stuck pixel almost dead-center.
Should I exchange it for another and hope for better results?

Let me say I've just recently switched to hdtv, and I can't go back.
Next, I'll say I've been disappointed by my personal buying experience.

I am, currently, the owner of a 32" Samsung (LN32A450).
TV looks cool, picture is great and it has plenty of inputs for me.
Not as feature-packed as the Sharp, but the price drop justifies all (US$600 less.)

This, however, is my third TV in the past two weeks.

The first I got was a 32" Sharp 1080p (LC32D64U) and it was awesome.
Looked great for the first day, then wouldn't power on the second (~6 hours operation time.)
Dropped that model and went for the similar "gaming" 32" 1080p (LC-32GP1U).
Finally got 1080p source hooked up a week in, and found 6 stuck pixels.
For US$1600 (bought at best buy + extended warranty) paid, I refuse to accept such an issue.
There's also the fact that I don't think I would have even seen "dim" or "dead" pixels in any of these panels.

Very disappointed in Sharp, but all the features of the TV's were top-notch stuff.
Albeit two different models, these were nonetheless two high-end Sharp TV's in a row.
Heard some good things about Samsung, so I set my eyes on them next.

Trying to be an informed consumer, everything I read says these pixel problems happen.
My issue is whether I'll get more stuck pixels in the next samsung panel or none.
Maybe better if it was another with only one, but it wasn't in the center of the screen.

I just wish there was a better way than to keep buying them and refund/exchanging.
It's on credit, so there's no financial issue, it's just the hassle and the gas consumption.

There is a thing we use on the psp when they get stuck pixels. It's called pixel-fixer and is just a media/video file with full output red/blue/green/white pulses. It may be worth a go.. google it and see if it helps. If not it can't do any harm.

thanks varnull, i didn't know such things existed.
i'll be trying that very soon, probably keeping the tv either way.
the picture quality is extremely good, and ps3 looks great on it.
just too bad it's not my ps3; waiting for metal gear bundle.
i'm off to post about that.

Be carefull with best buy and their extended warranty. I got mine Westinghouse 32 inch 12/16/08. I now have a thin vertical line from top to bottom. The tech came out and said it was image retention and that its not covered by the warranty. Im screwed out of 600 bucks se be carefull of the dead/stuck pixel thing with them
