dvd- rw prob

    Hi guys i just bought a case of sony recordable dvd's but when i tried to record something i got an onscreen message saying not possible to record on this disc i have a toshiba dvd recorder, any ideas.

    What program are you using for burning?
    Are these rw's formated?

    im just trying to record off tv and starview box dont know too much abouyt it

    This is for people who have problems with DVD Shrink.
    Does your recorder support DVD-RW?
    Some recorders require DVD+R

    Check your owners manual. I believe that these discs must be formated first.
