i just got a viewsonic n2635w hdtv from costco for $469, and have been trying to hook it up to my computer as 2nd monitor.....i have a geforce 8500 with dvi, vga, s-video connections. have gone into nvidia console and set up the card to run dual monitors.......but am getting no signal on the viewsonic. i currently have the dvi connection going to my samsung 19" widescreen monitor.......i have tried using the vga out from the geforce to the viewsonic......and the s-video out to the viewsonic.....only about 10 feet.....but cant get a signal to the viewsonic. i have also updated the nvidia drivers and even installed viewsonic drivers, still no joy.......any help???
Sure you have checked all your settings? Have you checked the box that says, "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor." ?
ya......thats checked off.......i just double checked to make sure in display properties......and it does show 2 monitors, both blue, like not grayed out at all, and have both set at the same resolution. also........in nvidea control panel.....have them selected as "configured independantly from each other(dual view)" and configured as "samsung syncmaster+tv" and samsung as primary dont think it matters, but my system is msi k8n neo4 motherboard, amd 3800 dual core cpu, 2gb ram, geforce 8500gt 512mb video, 2 dvd burners(tsst and optiarc) and 250 gb seagate hdd
