Help No Longer needed. Sorry.

This has been returned due to lack of functionality on avi's it did play! I had no ff or rew, and gave me trouble with subs.

Recently I purchased a Magnavox MWD7006, and it plays all my DVD, VCD, KVCD, etc. It doesn't play a lot of my .avi files though, and that's mainly why I bought it. I don't know much about xvid encoding so I don't know how to determine why it will or won't play any given file. I've searched around, but haven't found out much. I've read about GMC & QPEL, but I don't "get it" enough to even know if they are being used or not. Is there any application I can use to decide if my player will play a certain avi, or do I just have to burn everything I have to a disk & try it?
