If you have a S******w 1 box then you will have to enter the codes in manually from now on as the auto update feature doesn't work anymore,if you have a S******w 2 'The Box' then press the 'menu' button on your remote, enter 1570 go down to 'Set default Key' and press 'OK',now exit completely out of the menu and you should find your channels back working

you`ll have to input the codes manually for now until there is a new firmware.

If you look carefully on the codes page you will see 3rd of april.
the firmware for st*rview 1 is no longer any use.
you`ll have to wait for the new firmware.

if your pc does not have a serial port, you`ll need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable(DB9F to DB9f) which you can get in ma*lins accross from pe*ts on the same street.
Wait to see if the new firmware is available in the next few days on the forum, as the _400eE_ is no longer any use.
you`ll just have to input the codes manually for now.

One last thing. When the codes are no longer working and you need new ones, where do people get them from before they appear on Afterdawn??

I wonder could anybody help me? I have a copy of
CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin. What is the purpose of this firmware, and what differences are there from the original 400ee_api.bin.
I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
So all the best. SDK

You need GTRom v4.00.rar along with the bin file. You open the GTRom file and run it. Make sure you choose the right com port. The best way is to disable printers adn bluetooth and such and it should find the right com port itself. Make sure ya got the Null Modem cable connected and the Starview box on standby.Run the GTRom file and insert the bin file in the appropriate box and hit Download. Takes about a couple of minutes. That should do it..(",)*

Many thanks golass for your info. I have finished downloading my new firmware. But the question is .. what does this firmware variant do that the old 400ee_api.bin didn't do. I am just curious to know.OK.
Again your help was very well received and acted upon. This is one reason I like this forum.... the help in gives.
All the best from SDK

It automatically updates the codes. No more code input manually until new firmware is needed.....(",)*
