Playing dvd movie back up from hdd ?

I want to know how to play a dvd that has been stored on an xbox. I have 4 boys and they are hard on the dvd's so i moded an unused xbox and installed a larger hdd but I cant seem to play them from the hdd after backing them up. thanks bbbob

You would have to convert the dvd files into a video type file like an .avi or divx to be played with the media player on your modded xbox. If your using the program on your xbox that rips games directly to the hdd to rip movies to the hdd it won't play because it's still in dvd file format.

You could also go into XBMC and play them from there.
