Ok I have a problem that I just can't get past.

I have a movie split into 2 files, they're in DVCodec. Now I'm able to play them both back on my PC no problem (I presume then I have the codec) and the Subs work fine (seperate Srt files).

The problem is I need to join and convert them to DIVX so I can embed the subs and play the files on my PS3. Usually I join in VirtualDubMod and convert via DIVX Converter and them embed the subs via DIVX-MUX-GUI, easy enough right?

However, I can't join the files in VirtualDubMod it says: "Source Image Format Is Not Acceptable." I'm still able to convert the 2 separate files in Divx Converter but after conversion I can't join as in VDub as I get the same error.

After the conversion, I also can't Mux the subs in Divx-Mux-Gui because I get the error: "Invalid Form."

I've tried everything but I can't work this out. I just don't understand what is going wrong - I can watch the separate files on my PC but I just can't do anything with them. By the way, I have the latest version of the FFDshow codecs installed if thats any help.

Sorry if there's a topic on this already, I tried looking on the forums and in the guides but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

I know that VirtualDub has problems with the VFW DV type 1 and there is a converter that can change it to 'Type 2'.
See if it helps.

I tried that, it just says that it isn't a type 1 file. Thanks anyway though.
