Recently MPC has been vertically flipping any video I play that has subtitles. Whenever there isn't a subtitle, the video plays upside-down. wtf.
It just started doing this recently - the only software that I could think of that I had installed was Free Download Manager. I have un-installed FDM, but the problem persists.

Any ideas?
Update: Sorry, it starts flipped and goes back to normal only when a subtitle appears.
If FFDShow is installed AND other codecs like DivX and XviD, keep FFDShow and uninstall the others.
Then run FFDShow's 'Video Decoder Configuration' from the Start menu and enable DivX and XviD.
sounds like you may have several codecs that are interfering.....use G-SPOT
to find out what codecs you have, i would uninstall all codec packs you have and just use 1 like the K-LITE pack or the XP codec pack http://www.free-codecs.com/

Thank you! This was the problem, somehow XVid was set to "disabled", fixed it with ffdshow video decoder configuration and now videos with subtitles don't flip anymore.
