Just bought these Ativa DVD+R 100 pack from Office Depot since they were on sale for $19.49. I usually get TYs but I needed something asap so I gave it a shot.
Media code: CMC Mag M01
Below are 2 scans from 2 different burners. The Quality score is good and numbers look low to me. Burned movies at full speed.

Do these scans look good?

They look ok for now. CMC MAG's usually pixelate fairly quickly. Burning at full speed probably wasn't the best idea either.

It's best to use the good blank media, like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. You'll find that most of the pros on here use those.

Happy burning.

This weeks Sony sale is only $3 more, so why bother with Ativa and CMC Mag. Sony is up there with Verbs and TY.

So your saying that a 50 pack of CMC Memorex white inkjet hub printables (I picked them up from a Microcenter sales rack) will go bad within 6 months? I burned them at 8 & 12x.

Oh & I usually burn TY or Verbs.....

they may or may not. one thing for sure the TYs and Verbatims will last. its just not worth the gamble buying cmc mag to me

Well your right about that. TY & Verb is the best media to use.
