Blocky looking pictures while renduring DVD to ipod!

I I was puzzled for months on why my pqdvd was encoding DVD to iPod in weird manner. It was looking blocky and big giant pixeld squares and then clear again for a sec. I happen to try it on my Server as workstation under Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x86 with DVD to ipod v2.6 build 01 (not sure where I even got that cause noe of my other PC's have it) ten BANG, it worked. Turns out this machine has InterVideo v7 Platinum installed where my other decktop and noteook both have InterVideo v8 Premium.

Anybody else notice this and know of a fix to use WinDVD v8 or is there a newer WinDVD now?

If you can control the speed slow down what you can. The source is a bit screwed up.

Slow down what and as in how? It also worked on my XP x64 workstation when I installed InterVideo, WinDVD Platinum v7 instead of v8, but I can still see a small hint of pixleness in some movies, ie: The Water Horse staring Alex Etel. If I use Cucusoft, it is much more clear but I am haveing so much trouble getting aspect ratio I want out of it. I moved all my home PC's to WinDVD 7 for now untill I find a better or newer version of it.

I like the ability to clip out sections of time frame or a single video or episode of DVD video or TV type DVDs.

What other big name can match this and if not more for DVD and AVI to MP4?
