reformat hd

    i have a toshiba A200 laptop os vista home version, i made 2 recovery disc when i bought it & now i want to reformat it cause of the errors on it , i read in some posts that if it a sata hd you have to back up drivers , my question is where do i find what hd it is , would it be T20801.73 GHz...thanks

    ok i found it i think Hitachi......ata device would that be it ...thanks

    i need some help ive got problems & dont know what to do
    start up with recovery disc
    click....windows setup (ems enabled )
    windows is loading files
    select a process....click.. toshiba recovery
    recovery of factory defaults software
    click.. recover to out of state box
    click...recovery of factory defaults software system recovery options are included)

    initializing partitions please wait
    preparing
    copying files please wait

    so that goes on for about 10 min then i get the error
    error has occurred
    error: 10-FC06-0002
    RECOVERY ERROR PLEASE PRESS (OK) TO TURN OFF THE COMPUTER

    tried it 3 times always end s up the same
    i need some help on what to do please & thankyou
