flashfxp keeps failing to connect to my xbox

have you followed the steps:

go to system settings and set xbox to these settings:
IP: Static
IP #: 192.168.0.2
submask: 255.255.255.0
Primary DSN: 192.168.0.1

now go to computer,open network connections and set to these settings:
IP #: 192.168.0.1
submask: 255.255.255.0

Now open flashfxp and click quick connect and enter this:
URL: 192.168.0.2
Name: xbox
pass: xbox

now you should be connected.

Also if you're using Windows Vista then you should use the DCHP setting on your xbox network.

On the xbox make sure your IP is set to static. You wont be able to change the xbox ip if its not set to static.

On the computer do this: conect the lan cable from xbox to computer. on the lower right hand corner of your screen you should see two little monitors flashing back n forth. If running xp, Right click those and select 'status'. A window should pop up. Hit properties. On the new window look for somehthing like 'TC/IP 4' or 'IPv4' Highlight it and click on properties. You should be able to change the ip now.

wen i change it my internet connection doesnt work
it says they are the same IP adress even tho there adress are different

hmm are you using a router to connect? or are you plugging the xbox directly to the PC?

Seems like a lot of confusion going one here people...

Firstly, have you modded your Xbox (not the stock dash)?

i hav soft modded my box

i tryd everything like changin IP adresses on both etc

dont worry about changin the ip on the computer if you have vista just leave it alone all you have to do is set the connection on the xbox to dchp

i changed my ip on vista and left dhcp on my xbox

and it still didnt work

ive tried different IP methods from other forums
