I FTP'd all different versions (including beta 5) of Surreal 64 to my XBOX, yet it doesn't show up on my emulators list. All the others ones I put in did.. I have it in the same folder as my other emulators.. Any suggestions?

i don't know if i was doing the same thing wrong as you but you have to make sure that the .xbe files are in the surreal folder under emulators.. ex:
    E:\emulators\Surreal64xxx_B5\ (unarchived files go here)

the first problem i was having was that i downloaded the 'Surreal64xxx Beta 5 Source' instead of the normal 'Surreal64xxx Beta 5', make sure you have the correct one that is not the source.. i literally just downloaded it and installed the correct one not 10 minutes ago from here:

hopefully it's still up.. and hope this helps..

Yeah it sounds like you have it figured out, surreal needs the xbe file to see it in any dash or loader. More than likely you downloaded the source.

I'm glad my emulators file is being passed around, it always feels good to help others.

hmmm.. i would say just delete it and try again, maybe something turned sour whilst uncompressing? other than that; i have no dice on why it would freeze on you while loading..

How did you mod your box? If it's bios flashed then you will need to update your bios. If you used a mod chip it should be a lot easier. If you softmodded the box i don't have too many suggestions for that. Delete your E:\TEMP contents and see if that helps at all. Usually if your games are freezing thats the cause.
