This adapter will only work if your graphics card supports S-video though the vga connector. I don't know a lot about it but, I was only looking at them cos I was thinking about buying the ASUS EEE. I guess you need to check the spec of your graphics card.

    Hi

You need to make sure that your video card supports TV -Out from teh vga port (most do not). You can try using Powerstrip to adjust the frequancy but it is not easy and can kill your machine.

You are better of getting a dedicated powered hardware vga to TV box (about £20) from ebay.

I have a Redeon Card in my HTPC with TV out but NOT via the VGA port. It only provides it via the S-Video or DVI.

Just do a search fro VGA to TV on ebay. Most are from Hong Kong and around £20 delivered. They are powered via USB
