Hey guys, recently got a fliptop for my v4 ps2. Everything seemed okay in the process till I got to the reset and open button. I think I somehow removed the white wire or ribbon. Not the part to buttons but the other part, Im not too sure what it was attached to. Is there a way I can get that make on. Cause I think its causing the ps2 not to boot up, casue before this it worked fine and after it won't even power on. Thanks for any feedback on the matter.
That little ribbon cable can get annoying sometimes. Your going to have to take your PS2 apart to put that cable back in. You will be able to put it back in once you remove the metal chassis from the motherboard.
It's supposed to plug into the motherboard of the ps2. Like HG27 said, you'll have to completely disassemble your ps2. Once you get the metal frame off the motherboard, you'll see exactly where it gets plugged in.
It's easy, I did the samething. Just look for a (white?) rectangle box with connector tabs on the inside. Looks just like the one's with the ribbon still connected,I think there's 3 total showing. To connect it just fallow the path of the ribbon and make sure it's straight and looks normal and just slide it back in being careful not to bend or damage the ribbon. Don't worry it's hard to damage it just use even pressure and don't try to force it. It should go back in and problem solved. At least it was in my case. Good Luck but you won't need any luck here.
