Yea, the quick links drop down menu. It was right next to the search bar up there at the top. Here's a pic from my dear friend ZoSoIV.

LOL, yea me to, I never used it. I test server hardware and software all day long, so I pay close attention to detail. Something just didn't look right.

The G-powered search engine also changed a bit -- now you can "drill down" the query to specific section, like "Forums", "News", etc from the result page.

We might shock you tomorrow tho, got some extra changes coming up to forums ;-) Nothing major technically, but some layout stuff we want to test..

And yes, nobody used the quick link bar, so we got rid of it and instead, opted for a bigger search box (and branded it with Google logo, as they sorta demanded us to do so :-).

Yea, I just didn't have much use for that function. If I need to go somewhere, I just clicked the link within the forum.

Now then... That's classy. I like the new look very much. My browser wasn't quite sure what to make of it for the first 2 or 3 page changes.. must be shock ;) New button skins. Nice.

I welcome the change in one way, but don't in another. The new look is very swish and up-to-date and I like it - my only criticism however is that it doesn't fit that well with the existing graphics for the top of the page and the other menus.

i think its one of those things that look odd to us....... but to a new member/viewer they would inter-mesh perfectly:)

I suspect they aren't done either Sammy...I'm sure it will all tie in together when everything is in place.

I'm pretty sure the change has been progressive, so it may be part of a bigger re-design... Bring it on, I quite like what they've done so far.

I was wondering when the change took place. Very nice work AD, blends well with my iPox skin for firefox.
