eventually they will lower the price here in the United states and wii and PS3 will feel the heat. As to the RROD comments, i think it is time for you guys to get over it. Its not like Microsoft didnot admit to the RROD and then offered a way to handle those consoles with free repair and replacement. Microsoft did a lot of work to help reduce the heat in the newer consoles.

average 7 games per system? Common people buy more games thats how 360 and PS3 make money off their systems.

So if lowering their price has increased sales why wouldn't they do the same for North America. PS3 should do the same too. And not by doing the bundled crap. Or raise the price of the systems and lower the price of games, raise up those figures.

PS3's price is $399.99. If you don't think that's worth it, then simply just don't buy it.

And the 360 only had a $50 price cut, and sales have doubled?! That's wow

with the GTA 4 and a 360 Arcade bundle, priced at £159.99 and the exclusive extra content for the 360 i'm sure sales will surge at the end of the month with the release of gta, which is bad news for me as i want gta 4 on my pc and will never purchase it on any other hardware.

it only rocks if you never had a PC, or don;t know how to upgrade it on the cheap...or never had a game system..... the 360 is quite a pittfull system...the hardware fail rate alone makes me feel like I am just burning my money when i try and buy 360 crap.

i wouldn't advise anyone to purchase either the 360 or the ps3 because neither are as good as a pc with graphics if that's what you enjoy, as i play games at a resolution of 1920 by 1200 and have enjoyed Hi-Res graphics for a long time (all pc monitors that can render 1024 by 768 are Hi-Def ready, so every monitor made since, win 95).

and all the 360/ps3 are about is generating revenue which is destroying the gaming community as free mods/maps, ect take away from potential sales and games are rushed out and more and more pathetic sequels are made, who actually wants to play halo 59 or ridge racer 67, lets have some innovation again please. I know the days of "populous" and "elite" have gone but there is more to games than graphics as the bedroom coders proved.

I would not say that, but I will say know what you are buying, don't assume, and be ready to protect your consumer rights because they do not care about you.

Yeah they repair it for free by giving you a piece of junk in return,and a hilacious turnaround wait period.Microsoft didn't do anything to reduce the heat in the console,because for one the reason it overheats is because the fans don't run at full speed.They reduced the fan speed to make the system quieter which is why so many people get the RROD.I can go on about the regular XBox error codes and not even include the 360 that would tell anyone they make junk.They should give up since they already lost with the next gen format war for one,and because they can't compete with the others since they haven't fixed any of the major issues people get which wasn't just the RROD.

They "doubled" their sales, but that doesn't mean that all of a sudden the 360 is flying off the shelves. The 360 was doing pitifully bad in Europe, just barely doing better there than in Japan. So doubling a little bit (around 30,000 per week to 60,000) doesn't exactly mean much. Also the attach rating being 7 compared to 3. The 360 has been out for 2.5 years compared to 1.5 years for the competition, big whoop.

i really do understand peoples need to bash M$.if you love and worship sony thats cool but not evreybody feel that way about your beloved sony.yes the ps3 is a better built unit than the 360 but the 360 have something to offer that the ps3 dont if it didnt then it would not still be selling anything at all.so it must be something?and as for the wii all i can say is that it is family fun.and in these troubling times anything that will bring the family together even for a few rounds of wii sports get my vote two thumbs way up nintendo.

Well said and very true. In line with what you said in support here is an article about this "so called" double in sales.

The 360 will do only slightly better than the original Xbox because as I said in another thread

The same could be exactly said in opposite to you. The truth is MS has only only done mediocre for having a 1 year head start on both of it's competitors consoles. The 360 absolutely does not offer anything of real difference compared to the PS3 & Wii. It is just more of the same. FPS games, a very limited way to bank success on. That with the lack of penetration in MULTIPLE markets is why the 360 will not grow much more than their previous console.

if you believe there is a "war", you are a fanyboy, as this is a pathetic attempt by both manufacturers to rally hatred towards the other brand and sway ppl's opinions to purchase into their lifestyle/brand PATHETIC.

if you are looking to purchase a console you purchase the one with the games you want to play, and seems now mostly ALL titles are multi format this matters very little and as games become more complicated only in house titles will remain on their branded hardware. but who actually wants to play a constant stream of sequels like ridge racer 56 or halo 29 as they are exactly the same titles with improved graphics, WOW(sarcasm)?

Now I would agree MS comes out "worse" in that because the 360 is a nightmare, the PS3 despite BR is a better console on some grounds.

I think in 4 ways in regards to consoles and gamin in general.

Casual focus(Entertaining TeH zombies.)

Gamer focus (Games with options,games with depth,games that you can use to fend off "zombies" with.)

Ability (versatility,ability,ease of use,options,handicaps,limits,zombie corporation tooth marks,ect,ect)

in the end know what you are getting so you don;t feel robed when the casualness of the system glrares your eyes out....
