Dm500c Fix Tutorial MODS COULD YOU STICKY THIS THREAD PLAEASE?

Follow this procedure guys and girls.

1. You will need relevant software so that your box can be fixed properly.

Dream up, Flash Wizard. Dreambox Control Center. Extract the file and autorun the program. A small box will appear with the relevant software.

2. Now you need this image i have FULLY WORKING! This is a flash wizard file and need to be flashed through the flash wizard program or through Dreamup . PLACE THIS IMAGE ON YOUR DESKTOP. EASY TO FIND.

3. Now that you have downloaded the WORKING IMAGE. Connect to your dreambox via DCC. You will need your Dreamboxes ip address for this. If you do not have it and have an image already on you box. Go into the setup, expert, communications. Your ip address will be in here.


4. Once you have connected to the dreambox. Open Flashwizard. Go into configuration and ultilies at the bottom of the box. Make sure the ip of the dreambox is the same as the one in dcc. It should be. If not change it.

Now Click Install a Firmware to flash memory. Now you will need my WORKING IMAGE. You downloaded above. Click the open folder tab. Browse for the image. Should be on your desktop as instructed above. Click open.

The image should now be visible in the box.

Now click flash image backup. This will install the image to your box.
Takes approx a minute.

Once completed reset the box. PLug into ur tv. And try.

It should now show that the flash is installed.

Do the scan using bruteforce.

Once the scan has finished check your channels. TRY SS1 FIRST. If you dont have the channel. Reboot box. This time the evocam should startup and will roll the channels.

PLEASE SOMEONE TEST THIS! AND LEAVE A MESSAGE!

This is the simplest way to install this image. If this doesnt work or you have problems connecting to your dreambox you will have to go down the null modem route. Please leave me a message if you have problems with this.

hey!

I did everything you said and rebooted the box, it booted up with the Digital World logo. Everything looked fine, I scanned for channels and everythin seemed to come up great but as soon as i went to click on a few channels it said no service found. Some other channels were there such as Sky Premier/Setanta etc.. but the majority of them were not.

I was wondering if you could provide any information about this?

which area are you in?

Try doing a fresh scan using bruteforce again. Then reboot.

 

im in glasgow... i tried another fresh scan and it just doubled the amount of channels i have now so there is now 2 of the same channel.. sometimes one of these is working and on some other channels its not.

 

Strange. Shouldnt be doing that mate?

go bk 2 flash wizard and do a fresh flash of the image.

Once installed set the box bk up then check the channels once it boots up. If theyre no on reboot the box thats the important part.

hello m8 .. ! installed your image with no problems .. however i cant get any channels when i do the bruteforce scan i get an error saying something about the transponders and to check my setup ? any ideas m8 ?

 

hey guys, having a nice new problem with my mums box.

I unplugged it to take it up the stairs so that i could re-image it, I plugged it all back in, and powered it up and the screen just stays blank.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem, but i scanned using the UK only one which was one or two under the bruteforce one. this seemed to pick up all the channels for me.
